Support the Next Generation of Environmental Stewards: Sponsor a Planetary Ranger

At the Planetary Responsibility Foundation (PRF), we are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of environmental leaders by providing them with hands-on experience in nature restoration and conservation. Through our Planetary Ranger program, we offer young European individuals the opportunity to participate in vital conservation work in Costa Rica. As a donor, you can play a crucial role in this mission by sponsoring a Planetary Ranger and helping us make a significant impact on both the volunteers and the ecosystems they will protect.

The Concept

The Planetary Ranger program enables young volunteers to embark on a transformative journey to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Partnering with the Corcovado Foundation, these Rangers will engage in critical conservation efforts, including protecting endangered ecosystems and promoting sustainable community development. Your support will empower these young individuals to contribute meaningfully to environmental preservation while gaining valuable knowledge and skills that they can carry forward into their future careers.

Your Impact as a Donor

For every DKK 10,000 (starting from DKK 200 less than 30€ per donation) donors help us raise, PRF will match the amount, providing up to 20,000 DKK per Planetary Ranger. This funding covers essential travel expenses, vaccinations, accommodations, meals, and a stipend, ensuring that each Ranger can fully focus on their mission. Your donation directly supports these young environmentalists, enabling them to make a real difference in Costa Rica and beyond.

Why Your Support Matters

  • Empowering Future Leaders: By sponsoring a Planetary Ranger, you are investing in the development of future environmental leaders. These young volunteers will gain hands-on experience in conservation, learning invaluable skills that will shape their future careers and contribute to global sustainability efforts.

  • Protecting Biodiversity: The Osa Peninsula is a critical area for biodiversity, home to numerous endangered species and fragile ecosystems. Your contribution helps protect this vital region and supports efforts to restore its natural habitats.

  • Inspiring Change: The impact of your donation extends beyond the immediate conservation work. Planetary Rangers are encouraged to document and share their experiences, raising awareness and inspiring others to join the fight for environmental preservation.

How You Can Make a Difference

  • Donate Today: Your financial contribution (starting from DKK200 – less than 30€) directly funds the Planetary Ranger program, covering the costs of travel, lodging, and other essential expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to sending more volunteers to Costa Rica. All funds raised beyond the required amount will be directly allocated to important conservation efforts, specifically through tree planting initiatives in Corcovado.

  • Recommend a Ranger: You are welcome to recommend a candidate for the Planetary Ranger program. Only applicants with a recommendation are eligible.

  • Spread the Word: Help us raise awareness by sharing this opportunity with others. Whether through social media, word of mouth, or community outreach, your advocacy can help us reach more potential donors and volunteers, amplifying the impact of the Planetary Ranger program.

Join us in supporting the Planetary Ranger program and making a tangible difference in the fight to protect our planet. Your donation not only funds critical conservation work but also empowers the next generation of environmental stewards. Together, we can ensure a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
