Become a Planetary Ranger in Costa Rica
At the Planetary Responsibility Foundation (PRF), we are committed to fostering a new generation of environmental stewards through hands-on experience in nature restoration and conservation. We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for young European individuals to become Planetary Rangers and participate in vital nature restoration and conservation work in Costa Rica.
The Concept
As a Planetary Ranger, you will embark on a transformative journey to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, one of the world’s most biodiverse regions. In partnership with the Corcovado Foundation, you will be directly involved in efforts to protect and restore endangered ecosystems, working alongside experienced conservationists. This experience not only contributes to environmental preservation but also enriches the next generation’s understanding of sustainable community development.
Application Criteria
To be considered for the Planetary Ranger position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Age: Applicants must be between 18-25 years old.
Citizenship: Must be a European citizen.
Health: Applicants must be in good health and physically capable of participating in conservation fieldwork.
Passion: A strong interest in environmental work and a commitment to contributing to nature restoration efforts.
Communication: Planetary Rangers should be eager to document and share their experiences, helping to raise awareness and inspire others.
Recommendation: you must have a recommendation from a family member confirming that you are suited for the program.
How to Apply
We encourage all passionate and motivated young individuals to apply and join us in making a meaningful impact on the environment. Interested candidates should prepare a brief statement of purpose, detailing their interest in becoming a Planetary Ranger and their commitment to conservation.

Financial Support
For every 10,000 DKK raised through our fundraising efforts, PRF will match the amount, enabling us to provide up to 20,000 DKK per Planetary Ranger. This funding will cover essential travel expenses, vaccinations, accommodations, meals, and a stipend, ensuring that each Ranger can focus fully on their mission.
